February 2022 — Five Point Communities has added another piece to its 6-mile wildlife corridor in what used to be the Marine Corps Air Station El Toro. SPECS provided a triple-span arch spanning 82 feet that will allow both water and wildlife through the Serrano Creek while drivers, bikers, and pedestrians take the high road above on Marine Way.
SPECS completed the delivery of 83 precast components that K&L Contracting expertly installed over six days. FYDAQ will complete the earthwork and paving in the coming weeks.
SPECS partnered with Jensen Precast and Magna Trucking to supply and deliver the triple-barrel precast concrete arch components. SPECS completed the structure design that was approved by the City of Irvine, working with Proactive Engineering’s team of civil engineers throughout the project.
